  • Professional Experiences

In the middle of my seminary training in Fresno, my wife, Donna, and I served for three years with Mennonite Brethren Missions and Services Good News Corp (short-term mission) in Madrid, Spain, as part of a church planting team.

After returning from Spain, I finished my M.Div. degree at Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary and served for a decade as a pastor in California and in Kansas.

From 1990-2006, I was professor of biblical studies at Tabor College.  During that time I also worked with MBMSI YMI (Youth Mission International) in facilitating mission and discipleship through short-term missions.

I served on the Board of Faith and Life (BFL) of the General Conference of MBs (US and Canada) and the US BFL from 1990-2002.  I chaired the revision of the MB Confession of Faith (approved in 1999) and served on the International Committee of MB Confession of Faith Task Force which published an international confession in 2003.  Presently, I represent the US MB church at the Mennonite World Conference General Council.

    Personal Experience

Guiding verse: "Seek first the reign of God and God's righteousness, and all these things will be added to you as well." - Matthew 6:33

I was raised in the home of a Mennonite Brethren pastor in Kansas and South Dakota.
